Tec came into being in 1992 with the primary objective of preparing our youth for the innovative skilled jobs of tomorrow. In 1994 Tec introduced Online International Certifications in Pakistan making it affordable and thus becoming the First Testing Center of Prometric with ID as PK1. Tec introduced in Pakistan the concept of vendor Authorized training provider as first WordStar, WordPerfect, lotus, AT&T and Microsoft. Tec identified that validation of skills worldwide is the critical success factor.
Tec’s unique contribution has been to bring verifiable international certifications within Pakistan. Earlier people had to travel from Pakistan to Hong Kong and spent $2500 for taking an online exam of $50. Bringing International Certification has provided highly paid job opportunities to hundreds of thousands of Youth from middle and lower income groups as getting international certification became affordable.
Tec has succeeded in developing a nationwide network in 100 public sector universities and additionally 47 testing facilities exist in training centers across Pakistan. This core initiative have created job opportunities to hundreds of thousands of aspirant during all over Pakistan. Aarifa Karim an Icon of IT in Pakistan became one of the beneficiaries of Tec’s initiative along many others.
Tec as a Microsoft Authorized Education Partner advances digital literacy, productivity skillsand information technology for students, faculty, and staff in academic institutions worldwide by providing globally recognized Microsoft certifications, learning solutions and educator services.
Pakistani youth has lots of talent, especially in the field of Information Technology (IT). They have knowledge, skills, and abilities to be productive. What they needed was global recognition of the abilities and skills set.
To bridge this gap Tec® introduced computer-based testing on the Prometric & Pearson VUE platforms in 1994. This facilitation has given our youth access to international certifications through online testing in Pakistan making it affordable; for which one had to travel overseas.
Alhamdulillah, this little endeavor of mine has resulted in improving lives of thousands of individuals both at home and overseas. Each one of us has a role to play and contribute for building human capital.
